Celebrating All Saints Day with Faith, Fun, and Inspiration!
Each year on All Saints Day, we celebrate the countless men and women who loved God with their whole hearts and now live forever with Him in heaven. It’s a special day to remember that the saints are our role models—ordinary people who lived extraordinary lives of faith, courage, and love.
As Catholics, we don’t worship the saints or their statues. Instead, we honor them and ask for their intercession—that means we ask them to pray for us, just like we might ask a friend to pray when we’re going through something hard. The patron saints are our friends in heaven, cheering us on as we learn to live holy lives here on earth!
What Makes the Saints So Special?
Each saint shows us a different way to love God:
🌹 St. Monica teaches us to persevere in prayer, even when it’s difficult. She prayed faithfully for her son, St. Augustine, and her prayers were answered in God’s perfect time.
📖 St. Augustine, the son of St. Monica, reminds us that it’s never too late to turn back to God. Though he once lived a life far from holiness—chasing after worldly pleasures and success—his mother never stopped praying for his conversion. Through her example and God’s grace, Augustine’s heart was transformed. He became one of the greatest saints and teachers in Church history, writing The Confessions and showing us that no matter our past, God’s mercy can make us new. His story gives hope to everyone searching for truth and purpose.
💙 St. Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa) reminds us to serve the poor and see Jesus in everyone we meet. Her life was full of small acts of love that changed the world.
🌾 St. Juan Diego teaches us humility and obedience. When Our Lady appeared to him, he trusted her message even when others didn’t believe.
⚔️ St. Joan of Arc inspires us to be brave and follow God’s call, even when the world tells us otherwise.
🙏 St. Jude reminds us never to give up hope, especially when things seem impossible.
🔑 St. Anthony helps us find what’s lost—whether that’s our keys, our peace, or our faith!
🌼 St. Ann, the grandmother of Jesus, shows us the importance of family, faith, and passing on love for God to the next generation.
💻 St. Carlo Acutis, one of the newest saints of our time, teaches us that holiness is possible even in our modern world. A teen who loved the Eucharist and used technology to share his faith, he reminds young people that sainthood begins with everyday acts of love and devotion.
Each of these patron saints—and so many more—teach us how to live for Jesus in our own unique ways.

Deepen Your Prayer Life with the Saints
As you learn about your favorite patron saints, praying with them through novenas is a beautiful way to grow closer to God. A novena is a special nine-day prayer asking for the intercession of Jesus, Mary, or the saints.
We recommend the Treasury of Novenas by Rev. Lawrence G. Lovasik, S.V.D.—a 360-page collection featuring over 40 novenas organized according to the Church’s liturgical year. It’s a wonderful devotional for families who want to pray together on feast days or during special intentions.
Becoming Like Little Children
Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:3)
What did He mean by that? Just as children depend on their parents for love, protection, and guidance, we are called to depend completely on God, our loving Father. We are wired this way—created to lean on Him for everything. When we acknowledge Him in all we do, He promises to make our paths straight (Proverbs 3:6).
In Him, we find peace, healing, and purpose that nothing in this world can offer.
As we celebrate All Saints Day, take time to discover your own patron saint—someone who understands what you’re going through and can pray for you as you journey closer to Jesus. The saints remind us that with God, holiness is not just possible—it’s our calling.
